It's not often we get actual, useful news in a Super Bowl ad, but Jeep managed to pull it off this year.
The off-road vehicle manufacturer released a Super Bowl ad over the weekend with a ton to chew on. It's a follow-up to 1993's Groundhog Daythat actually managed to get Bill Murray to show up, which is an achievement in and of itself. While it's mostly an ad for the 2020 Jeep Gladiator, you get a little preview of the new Jeep e-Bike at about the 38-second mark.
Via GiphyFor now, details on Jeep's new e-Bike are painfully scarce. The official website revealed that it's coming in June, with a 750-watt motor that can reach up to 40 miles on one charge. It's being made in cooperation with electric bike company QuietKat, and has 4.8-inch all-terrain tires for the kinds of electric biking you see in that Super Bowl ad.
Other than that, we don't know much. Jeep didn't offer a specific release date or a price for the bike. We also didn't get any other specs, but Electrek studied the clip to find a few little details Jeep didn't reveal. Electric bike enthusiasts should probably check that out.
It's worth noting that this isn't the first time Jeep has made an electric bike, per CNET. It is, however, the first one that Jeep has brought to the United States. If you want to perform impressive bike stunts in the mountains or you just want to get around without polluting the atmosphere too much, Jeep's newest electric offering might be worth a look.
