It's unclear how many different terms this incorrect answer is showing up for. Queries for terms such as "Red Sox championships" and "who won the World Series 2018" in the Google Search have been displaying the Boston Red Sox as this year's winners.
We reached out to Google to see if they could explain the incorrect search results. We will update this story when we hear back.
The third game of the series is Friday at 5:09 p.m. PT -- that is if you believe Google's Major League Baseball game schedule.
