No matter your place in the history books, you're never to important to share a little love for your mother on her birthday.
Former first lady Michelle Obama knows this. She took a moment on Sunday to share a personal photograph and message to her mother, Marian Robinson, and shared with us all an adorable throwback photograph of the two of them.

Robinson has remained close to the Obama family throughout their stint in the White House, moving in with them as soon as Barack Obama took office in 2009. In 2012, she penned an essay for Essence about her daughter.
"Watching her that night was one of those moments from the last four years that I'll never forget. But to be honest with you, I can't say I was surprised to see my daughter up there making such an impression," Robinson wrote, discussing her feelings about watching Michelle give speeches.
"From my perspective as a mom and a grandma here in the White House, I see her honesty and strength every day. I see how much she loves her girls and her husband. And I see how hard she and Barack are working to make things better for folks across the country," she wrote.
Happy belated birthday!
