LONDON -- Compliments are great, except when they're actually insults in disguise.

Since then, the hashtag has trended globally and people from around the world have been sharing their crappiest compliments. From remarks about appearance, intelligence, personality and relationship status; these insults that masquerade as compliments can be really hurtful and detrimental to self esteem.
Through the hashtag, people are lifting the lid on the most brazen remarks they've ever received, and they're pretty outrageous.
Naturally there were "compliments" about people's appearance.
