Donald Trump's Twitter/X account has been blissfully silent since Elon Musk reinstated the former president following his ban from the social media platform, but on Thursday that silence was broken.
SEE ALSO: No, Tucker Carlson's Trump interview doesn't have 230 million video views on XYep, you can already guess what happened: With his brand new indictment mugshot already floating around the internet, Trump clearly couldn't resist capturing some of that attention for himself.

The post contained a link to his website along with an image showing the mugshot next to the following text: "MUG SHOT — AUGUST 24, 2023. ELECTION INTERFERENCE. NEVER SURRENDER!" Clearly his team have decided that the former president's best move is to wear the fact he's been arrested like some weird badge of honour.
Although Trump has now been indicted four times, the Republican frontrunner's mugshot has only so far been taken in Georgia, where he's accused of plotting to overturn the state's election results in 2020.
Trump was "permanently suspended" from Twitter back in Jan. 2021, "due to the risk of further incitement of violence." When Musk took over the platform in 2022 he said he'd reverse Trump's ban, eventually removing the suspension along with those of a number of right-wing figures. When asked, Trump said he wouldn't be rejoining the platform, instead choosing to lean on his own Truth Social — but it seems the lure of those 86 million followers has now got the best of him.
